If there was ever a time we needed to know the truth, it’s today. Many today question whether there’s any source of absolute truth. Some live as though they believe there absolutely is no absolute truth to be found. I can’t imagine living each day thinking that there’s no enduring certain source of truth in this world. Without absolute truth, what anchors a person regardless of what tomorrow may bring?
Today, permit me to share just a few scriptures from the Bible that get to the heart of the source of where absolute truth can be found.
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6, NIV Bible)
To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8: 31-32, NIV)
Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long. (Psalm 25:5, NIV)
To know the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior is to know Truth. He always speaks the absolute truth and His Word is available to us to read and study. His Word is an anchor in a world that’s searching for the truth.
May God bless you and have a good weekend.
Thank you for those quotes, Paul. Words from the Lord’s lips are like balm, and calm the soul.
Well said, Ken.
