I’ll deviate today from my norm of investment talk. This has been a cold winter across the United States. Living in the south, I’ve not had to shovel snow like many of you. So, it’s been cold but I’m not complaining. Today, as I’m writing this post, blooms are popping out on bushes and trees, signaling the coming of spring. It is my favorite time of year, and it is an amazing thing to witness things coming alive before our very eyes.
Spring reveals new life around us in God’s wonderful creation. For me, it especially makes me think toward Easter. I think about Jesus having come into the world to go to the cross to permanently settle my debt of sin against God. Further, I rejoice at the thought of His victory over death as He arose from the grave. Spring reminds me that there is new life after death because of Christ.
I hope you are enjoying this Saturday, wherever you are, with your family and close friends. It is my prayer that God bless and direct you.
Look for another post in the next several days where I’ll come back to more “stock market talk.” Have a great Saturday!
Oh yes, another reminder of spring for most of the U.S. today will be the need to “spring forward” an hour as we make the transition to daylight savings time before tomorrow comes. I don’t know about you, but I love having another hour of light before night falls.
Thanks and God bless you too Dr. Allen.
Yes enjoy the spring weather and the colors!!!
Here in Montreal every thing is still white and freezing,
only heaven knows till when?
Lucky you that live in the south!!!
Have a nice weekend…
Julio
Maybe it will warm up for you Julio sooner than normal this year. You can tell from my post today that I’m pretty much a wimp when it comes to really cold weather. “Us folks” in the south are rather spoiled in that we really don’t know much about genuinely cold weather. You have to be resilient to deal with the kind of cold you face, friend. Thanks for your thoughtful note!
Cold winter across most of the US. Not here. Winters in Southern Cali are often Utopia. And, that’s how it’s been this “winter”, too.
Now, if only we could have some imperfect weather to bring us in some more rain…
Marc
Well, I wasn’t rubbin’ it in, Marc, about being in the south; Utopia, now that’s rubbin’ it in. LOL.
I hope you are doing well.
Yes…thank goodness for the spring time, new life, and fresh starts. Love you!
Thank you, dear daughter. I like the thought of fresh starts too. With Christ, there’s always a new day. I love you.
