Thursday (yesterday) was the National Day of Prayer (here and here for information) where people from all around the country got together in their respective communities to pray for our nation and its people. I am so thankful for all the blessings God bestows on us and I desire to honor His name. It is my privilege to pray for you and I’m so grateful for those who think from time to time to pray for me. God indeed answers prayers and we can call on Him any time of the day, all year long.
I surely desire that God’s blessing rests on our nation. The Bible says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Psalm 33:12).
Let me share a brief passage from the New Testament book of I Timothy, Chapter 2, vs. 1-6 today (NIV, Bible); The apostle Paul writes:
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people”
This passage gives a person much to think on, in my view. We live in perilous days and the above instruction surely seems especially fitting.
May God bless you all, and a Happy Mother’s Day!
Thanks for that good word Paul. We really need to come together and pray for our country which seems to be more divided all the time. A good place to connect with others who want to do just that is onecry.com.
Have a great Mother’s Day weekend with your family.

Thanks for the good comment and for sharing the onecry link, friend.
Paul
Thank you for the great post. We really need to pray more for all nations.
Thank you for being a good steward. We need more Christians being the salt and the light in finance.
Also, thank you for your book. It is one of my favorite investment books. I use your screen as a starter.
