As a Christian, I wish to acknowledge Jesus Christ when I’m talking about money, whether in my book or here at my blog. While I could get wordy in explanation, I’ll simply reference a single verse from I Corinthians 10:26 which states:
“for the earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.” (New International Version, Bible)
Regardless of the theme, whether about money management, or time management, or family management matters, etc., I want to always acknowledge my Lord because He is the provider of everything good and therefore brings meaning and perspective to everything.
I hope my posts are presenting something worthy of the valuable moments in your life which you expend to read them. I thank God for each of you.
Paul,
Thank you for your message. At the end of interesting week for the markets, it is a good reminder of who is in charge. I did not come to be a Christian because i had divorce or some outward problem as sickness. Rather I was in search of truth. The professional circles that i ran around with, though very nice people, left me searching for more.
When we step back and look at the big picture in news stories etc read what the headlines are.
As i write this, on CNN.com this is the major story
“Truth is in the evidence, but what evidence”? the story of Meredith Kercher’s death
People are in search of truth in the Governor Christie bridge closing.
Truth is a major theme. As Pontius Pilarte asked, what is the truth?
Like my pointing the figure at my professional circle, the news media has everyone ensnared into noise. Searching for truth in other places.
What i learned at the age of 43 is that if you want to manage anything (people, money, family etc), you need to find the truth in you first. I found there was no truth in me when x-rayed to Scripture. The source of all truth is in John 14:6.
Joe
Thanks for your message. We don’t hear this often enough especially on the business world!!!
