Synonyms for the word “merry” include “cheerful,” joyous,” “joyful,” “gleeful,” “happy,” and “glad.” From the New King James Version of the Bible, Luke, Chapter 2, verses 8-11 we read a portion of the Christmas advent, Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”

As a Christian, Christmas has very special meaning to me. It is a time for me to remember that Jesus Christ, God’s beloved Son, came into the world over two thousand years ago to bring reconciliation to the world via the cross He would eventually bear at Calvary…..to remember that He came because He loves me and He loves you.

This Christmas, as my family celebrates the joy of remembering the birth of our Savior, we want to share our joy with you by extending our sincere desire for you to have a very Merry Christmas!
