My dear mother went to be with Jesus several years ago. Mama was always there for her children. My sister, brother and myself were so blessed to have such a wonderful mother and not a day passes that I don’t miss her.
We live in a day where much is made about whether we have equality among men and women; where much attention is put on the person of “self” and “my” rights. Yet, the people that impact the world the most are always giving of themselves and looking to the interest of others first. When I think about the word “mother,” I think of such a selfless person. My mother taught me how to live and to love other people and not to think of myself as more special than another. While she is not here today, her influence carries on each and every day of my life and I thank the LORD for mom.
I know your mom is a blessing to you too. Moms are always there when we need them. If you still have your mom today, I hope you will celebrate her and treat her like a queen tomorrow and everyday.
God is such an awesome creator. His design of the role of motherhood speaks of His goodness to us and of His grand design for lovingly providing for us.
So, have a great Mother’s Day tomorrow and consider the goodness of God. Thank Him for moms!
Paul,
Your mother was truly a special person. As a child growing up at East End UMC, I was blessed to have her religious and spiritual influence in my life. She understood the importance of teaching children the concept of living one’s life in service to the
Lord. Thank you for taking the time to sharing your wisdom
Bill,
You don’t know what your comment means to me. Thanks so much. You are blessed wonderfully too with your mom who has such a servant’s heart. She has influenced so many young lives in her key roles in education.
I hope you and all your family have enjoyed a great Mother’s Day together.
Paul
